The international dimension of the School

Actions and initiatives undertaken by the School to foster internationalisation.

The School fosters the development of students’ international skills also through:

• opportunity of international mobility for studies, traineeship, research for dissertation purposes;
• degree programmes leading to a double or multiple degree with other foreign universities;
• degree programmes totally delivered in foreign languages;
• initiatives aimed to the integration of international students and teachers in the learning environment.

Opportunities abroad

Every year the School promotes the activation of international programmes and agreements allowing students and graduates to spend a period abroad in Europe and beyond, at a university that has signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Bologna, to attend courses, sit exams, prepare dissertations or perform internships.

You can find more information on programmes, financial supports and calls in International, in particular in Studying abroad and Traineeship abroad.

Every year the School supports its own programme of “Final dissertation abroad” to support students of Second Cycle Degree Programmes. You can find further information in Dissertations abroad.

Introduction to Italian Culture

The School has been promoting, since a.y. 2016/17, an evening seminar cycle addressed to UNIBO international students from all Schools and Departments, with the goal of introducing them to the culture and history of their hosting country and city, but also for operating as a space of integration between international and local students.

Conceived as an interdisciplinary program, the course is taught in English and  consists of two seminar cycles, one for each semester. Attendance is mandatory.  Participants will get 6 credits (CFU) for each seminar cycle (12 CFU in total).
